The Norm is Not Normal

"Follow the norm,” said he, said she.
But what good in the norm do you see?
Just because tight pants are the trend,
Doesn’t mean I ought to pretend
That I like all this and that
So I could fit in with these immature brats.

Lower and lower go the masses’ IQ
That they’re all so gullible; I hope that’s not you.
Just because it is done by superstars,
It will not make me defy my standards.
They make it so “new” that it’s not even normal,
And trick these people to do the immoral.

Weren’t we all meant to be unique?
But now this society is just vulnerable and weak.
By such corrupt hands, they’re being controlled;
Being poured into a treacherous mold.

Oh, these poor folks all end up the same.
When they’re told to, they’d all go insane.
“Follow the norm,” said he, said she.
“But the norm is not normal, don’t you see?”
